The scholarship gets awarded to an individual who possesses the same passion as Jay Cannistraci, who died on September 15, 2011. Jay was a talented and successful makeup artist in the film industry who worked with directors Woody Allen, Oliver Stone, and James Cameron. He worked on over 100 movies and TV episodes.
