Bakhru has many projects and various types of research going on outside of his teaching and pharmaceutical career.  He is working to design polymeric hydrogel-based scaffolds for ex vivo neural stem cell expansion.  One of his most significant contributions to the field of science was engineering a microcapsule-based platform that is capable of detecting the impact of various biochemical and topographical cues on both growth and diversity.

One of Bakhru’s biggest passions is the study of stem cells.  He has conducted some essential research on the use of stem cells using rat stem cells.  Bakhru believes in the capacity of stem cells to heal millions of people all over the world and is dedicated to the important research involved.

Sasha Bakhru is an extremely important science and medical researcher. His work is significant in both stem cell research and the field of pharmaceuticals. Bakhru is part of the brains of the ingenious Perosphere Inc., a specialty pharmaceuticals company. Not only did he co-found Perosphere, but he also serves as the Vice President and the Chief Technology Officer.

Perosphere employs rational drug design in order to invent new small molecules that can then be used for specific therapeutic processes. He completed his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University, his M.S.E from John Hopkins University in Materials Science and a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in Biomedical Engineering.

Bakhru has achieved some significant feats in his field. In 2008, he was the winner of the Global MOOT Corp competition. In 2009, he received the Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business “Entrepreneur of the Year” alumni prize. In addition, he has co-authored over 20 publications, eight patents and a chapter in a book.

Special Education is an educational instruction specially designed for children with disability, at no cost to parents. Idyllically, all students must have equal access to good education to achieve their potential. Under IDEA, gifted and talented special students are seen extraordinary, although, other jurisdictions may also put Gifted in part of their legislation.

At school, a child who is seen or observed to be needing special education support is normally referred to the school’s special education committee. If this is the case, parents must have all necessary information and documentation of the result of every test and every process done in relation to the child to inform the school about the child’s disabilities if already known before attending school. Any child being considered for special education services will have to go through several assessments and psychological testing to determine if he or she qualifies to receive special education supports.
